Glo HD Is it dead?

Hello,

my wife's N437 GloHD just stopped working. She was reading a book, shut it down to sleep, and the sleep screen is still on the screen.
I have tried charging it for a long time, but the battery is actually full, 4,2V, I measured it. Reset does not do anything. Power does not do anything. It just does not react to anything.

I downloaded the GloHD sd card image, tried to put that on the card but it stops with an error at 7% or so. Then I took another SD card, and that one took the image without a problem. Still, the kobo does not work with it.

I think this one is just dead, and ready for the bin, but maybe anyone here knows something that I can try?

My wife could not wait for this and bought a Kobo Nia, which is almost the same thing. Still, I would like to see if the Glo can be brought back to life.

Anyone?

What does the screen look like? Any faint lines on it? It's possible the screen broke and is simply not updating.

The screen looks just like it has just been switched into sleep mode. In fact, when you look at the new Nia in sleep mode and the GloHD side by side, you cannot see any difference. Both show the same book cover and only the reading progress % is different. No visible lines. It just does not wake up anymore...

You could be right about the screen, but when I connect it to the PC, also nothing happens. The PC does not recognise it. So my guess is that there must be something else wrong.
