Viewing PDF's in Calibre Server Browser

Hello,

Is there a way to get Calibre Server to not convert books when viewing them in a browser? Every time I try to view PDF's in the browser instead of downloading them, I think it's converting the format or something because everything is messed up (like when you try to convert from PDF to Epub).

I'm pretty sure that Calibre's viewer is an Epub viewer and it does convert in the background.

If you want to view a pdf, you'll need to set a different program to read the pdf instead of the calibre viewer. I'm not sure if that is something you'll have to set in your OS (I think so but am not 100% sure) or an option in calibre.

Preferences-->Behaviour-->Use internal viewer for:

Uncheck pdf, then when you go to view one it should revert to your OS default viewer. Works that way in the gui, anyway.

Calibre version 6.2.0 added this feature:

Any idea how to do that with a command? I'm running it headless.

It works for me. When I select a book with PDF format in my calibre library and click "Read" it opens in a new tab in Chrome as a PDF. I am using the default server settings,
