How can I get the old firmware for PW3?
Hello, I'm using a Kindle PaperWhite 3 running firmware 5.9.6.1.

I turned on the Kindle after a long time, and want to update the firmware to 5.14.2(seems to be the latest firmware which can be software jailbreaked?) since my kindle's firmware is so outdated. But I can't find it anywhere. Is there a way to download fw 5.14.2?

You should be able to download the Paperwhite 3 v5.14.2 firmware from:

https://s3.amazonaws.com/firmwaredow...ite_5.14.2.bin

The SHA-256 (if I didn't screw it up) should be: 52A39580EADE1C364F2D280B77CC999F1B14671AC1EEB4610A 7590B9BA2377D0

KT4 (Basic 10th) 5.14.2: https://s3.amazonaws.com/firmwaredow...0th_5.14.2.bin

Pro tip: Go to the update page, click download on the latest firmware, stop then copy the download link, then edit the version number of the one you wanted, though you can't go back all the way to the old versions as Amazon has switched their download servers sometime around the 5.7-5.10 timeframe, I don't remember when.
