Short fiction mostly collected from magazines and newspapers. Much of this issue has come from Australian newspapers, which routinely reprinted stories from overseas magazines. Wherever possible, I have included the original first publication details as well as the Australian source I used.

I have multiple stories by Robert Barr and Guy Boothby, who were both productive short story writers as well as novelists. Boothby is best known for his "Dr Nikola" series of sensational crime novels; Robert Barr for his creation of Eugene Valmont, a French private detective working in London, which satirises the Great Detective theme of the time. Several collections of Barr's lively stories are already uploaded to this forum.
