Transferring Calibre Settings

Quick question

I have a perfectly running instance of Calibre complete with a very large library running perfectly on computer number 1.

I would like to COMPLETELY – WITH ALL SETTINGS (INCLUDING THE WI-FI SERVER SETTINGS AND WI-FI DEVICE SETTINGS) – transfer the program and library to computer number 2.

I know how to transfer the library.

Is there any way to COMPLETELY AND WITH ALL – ALL CURRENT SETTINGS to transfer the program with all of its current settings?

Is there a.INI file that contains all of the settings?

I have searched as best I can for the answer to this question on the forum with as many search parameters as I can think of, to no avail.

If you answer me, would you kindly also carbon copy the reply to incoming@POBOX.com

Settings -> Miscellaneous -> Open calibre configuration folder

The contents of that directory + your library (or libraries if you have more than one) are the complete settings.

I was told to do this:

Right click the calibre icon in the main calibre toolbar and select Export/import all calibre data. Note that if there is currently a device connected, this menu option will not be available – so, disconnect any connected devices. Then click the button labelled Export all your calibre data. You will see a list of all your calibre libraries. Click OK and choose an empty folder somewhere on your computer. The exported data will be saved in this folder. Simply copy this folder to your new computer and follow the instructions below to import the data.

I do NOT see the Calibre Icon.

The window "calibre" in the upper left does NOT yield anything like that.

I am attaching a screenshot of my Calibre.

Can someone tell me how to show/display the Calibre icon?

The Icons can get rearranged and are not always in the default place.
Also, don't try with a device connected... that also moves/adds icons

Can someone tell me how to show/display the Calibre icon?

I suggest you install the Favourites Menu plugin.

Then you can have the Export/Import Data Menu item easily accessible wherever more suitable in your menubar/ main toolbar.

In the attached screenshot, the menu item needed is the one checked!

I found the import/export choice under the library ICON.

I successfully transferred the program with ALL options!
