How to locate authors with multiple authors

I am trying to create a "goodreads author" column since Goodreads only uses the first author and creates a second column for additional authors.

I would like to find any multiple authors so I can exclude them from the list.

How can I search the author column for multiple authors?

Sorry, I don't know what that means. Goodreads shows multiple authors on their site. The Goodreads metadata source plugin will get multiple authors if the GR page of the book has them. So will the Goodreads Sync plugin if you use the connect to GR option.

"authors:#>1" works. But, don't put any extra spaces.

From the Help pages on searching:

You can search for the number of items in multiple-valued fields such as tags using the character # then using the same syntax as numeric fields. For example, to find all books with more than 4 tags use tags:#>4. To find all books with exactly 10 tags use tags:#=10.

Thanks, their library export .csv has a separate column for "additional authors". If I have to import it as a list the plugin doesn't really match up with title/authors when there are multiple authors (yes, I know I can opt not to use the authors). I have just merged the additional authors column and the author column in excel.

Also, I would like to quickly locate my anthologies - they are all mixed in.

It took a minute to figure out that I was just typing it in the search bar at the top and not in the search box. I have saved the searches and am happy to now understand how to locate these things. I always got hung up on the exact terminology to get what I am looking for, but I found online and in the Calibre PDF how to locate stuff.

I believe Import List PI allows you to map data to a custom column.
Click the Fields button at the bottom

Yeah, that's what the "goodreads author" column would be for in import list.

I have found that with this plugin if you don't match automatically, if you have to manually match up books then the plugin runs extremley slow, even if one or two books are manually matched. It only happens when you have to look up the book, not when there are multiple matches for a book (shows in pink). So I have to make sure if I am going by title/authors it has to match the first time. I was happy to have the plugin work on id's because I have created id columns (composite) and generally match that way now. I have created the "goodreads authors" column and use it to match when I need.
