Adding Custom Cover Page to e-book
My first post.
I am very frustrated in that when editing metadata for an epub in the Calibre library, I am unable to add a prepared jpg cover page in lieu of the few generic covers which are there. No matter how hard I try, I cannot get rid of the generic cover. My jpg, when inserted, shows up in the right side viewer of the book - but when I try to open the saved epub in Calibre or elsewhere the jpg cover is not there. WHAT am I doing wrong??? |

You NOW need to do another step to EMBED the cover into the book. Calibre has Polish (a toolbar Icon) configure to replace the cover. There is also, the Modify EPUB plugin that can do that task. OTOH If you really were using the Edit Book (T), the cover IMAGE and the file that contains it, need to be marked as cover (there is an icon next to those names IF that has been done. Right click on each:Mark as cover if needed) |
