Prevent my Kindle from turning off every 8 minutes?
Is there a way to prolong the time of the screen on and not turn off after 8 minutes?
I have an old Kindle Paperwhite (not current).
The firmware is 5.14.2

Was the the sleep timeout changed from 10 minutes to 8 minutes in the latest firmware?

With jailbreak, you can disable auto-lock in KUAL.

I tested it and it does work, however not exactly how I expected. It disables the sleep function completely, including the magnetic trigger and even pressing the power button. Would it be possible to make it so that it just disables that ~10 min timer?

I don't know of a different way to disable sleep, but some years ago there was a thread on a way to change the amount of time before sleep. It might be possible to set it quite long. You would need to search for the thread. If you find it, please let us know.
