Tolino Vision 6: Page numbers and custom firmware?

I can't find that much on custom firmware for the Tolino Vision 6 (is it that new?) but here's something: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...=327960&page=4

though it's a few years old, so I'm not sure it applies/still works?

The main thing I'd love to get out of a custom firmware is that you don't see the shop recommendations on the home screen. Is this possible?

And as for page numbers: From playing around with the Count Pages plugin, I think I figured out that the Tolino uses the Adobe pagination, whereas the "Paragraphs", i.e. the default setting for the plugin is more accurate when compared to the pages listed on e.g. Goodreads.

I feel like this must get asked a lot, but I can't figure it out. Is it possible to edit the way the Tolino calculates the pages to match that of the Goodreads version?

For example, I'm reading a book right now where the page number on the device is almost twice as high as the actual pages, both listed on Goodreads and detected in Calibre.

Any pointers or ideas?
Thanks
