How can I easily find books from KOReader?
Hi guys I'm new to use KOReader, I like it lots settings and more(maybe too much for me
) any way as the title, how can I easily find books from KOReaderBecause fo far I must enter into the folder downloads and find by title ...lots steps before find a book, maybe there is some cool plugin to let easier the research and more userfriendly . I mean like file browser, something to search by author , gender, ecc..like Kindle library stock software for example could be nice. Thanks

A bit late response: if you make use of Calibre - to tag your books, load them onto your Paperwhite, and transfer over metadata - the KOReader browsing options become vastly superior to the Kindle stock options.

Sorry for the necro-post,but as a new KOReader user, my biggest (but tolerable) disappointment with the reader was having to go through the file system to find books. THANK YOU for posting this! I manage my library in Calibre so all the title/author/series metadata is already done. This is a great way to search my books.

If you see the house icon, "KOReader Home" and "+" on top in the app you can click on the "+" and then choose the folder with your ebooks and set this as "HOME folder".
There's also the user guide: https://koreader.rocks/user_guide/ Plus there's the wiki: https://github.com/koreader/koreader/wiki What I dislike about KOReader is that it's rather slow showing all the book covers plus I can't scroll in the home folder view but have to swipe. I like Libera (librera.mobi) more, it's much faster in the library view and I can just scroll through the cover list. Plus I can use dictionaries in the same file format as with KOReader via the app ColorDict. |
