Use highlight and then the Annotations plug in or Kobo Utilities plug in on Calibre.
Or view Annotations on the book.
There is also a config file entry to add "Export annotations & Highlights" menu item to the context menu on the long press of a title/book entry.

To look at saved words on Libra 2, go to the Home screen, click the bottom right More symbol (horizontal lines). Choose Activity, then go to the My Words tab where you'll see the words you've saved.

To see what you've highlighted in the book you're currently reading, and any notes you've made relating to that book: from within the book, tap the middle of the screen - at the bottom right you'll see the icon of a magnifying glass and a page with lines on it. Tap the icon of the page. This will show all highlights, notes etc you've made in that particular book.

I find this useful for highlighting the first time a character appears in a book (when they're described, along with their relation to the others/action) so that if they turn up half a book later it's easy to trace who they are.

That's a cool trick, I'll remember that when I finally start reading A Song of Ice and Fire. Thank you!

You could also search for their name in the book. The first result that shows up is the first instance they're mentioned in the book. Usually one of the first few results for a name gives you the sort of information you have in mind.

I've found that this works better on kindles than on the kobo I have which doesn't always show the early instances of the name.
