Improve Dark Mode Slider Button Contrast?

Is there something I can change to make the slide buttons on the scroll bars more visible in Dark Mode? The differences between the button, the button border and the bar colors are very small and can be hard to see. The colors appear to be set by Calibre, as my Windows File Explorer buttons and bars have much greater contrast.

I tried a Google search, which tells me that this can not be changed, but the results were years old.
