Copy on Preview Box

Hi All!

In the preview file area Ctrl+C for copying text doesn't work. You need to right click the text, then select Copy.

I am working on a book where I have to copy and paste every paragraph in another program and having to right click all the time ends up being tedious and a waste of time.

Ctrl+C does work though in the rest of the areas of the editor.

the preview box does not have keyboard focus, keyboard focus is kept by the code editor.

Suggestion :
Some cliboard managers allow to execute a command when copying a certain expression.
You could select the paragraph in the editor itself (instead of preview), and program the clip-man to purge all html tags from the text copied when it starts with

When I needed something similar a few months ago I used PageEdit, a companion product to Sigil ==>> https://sigil-ebook.com/pageedit/

It's a WYSISWYG editor for epubs. IMO the easiest way to use it is via Sigil's Book Browser->Open With on the opf file - The following shows copying text from the EPUB to Notepad++. Select text with Shift, Ctrl and arrow keys - Ctrl+C to copy, paste wherever with Ctrl+V.



Works the other way too, i.e. copying text from elsewhere into the EPUB, if you're doing this I suggest you don't use Dark mode in PageEdit, there's a setting in its Preferences.
