Progress Sync missing on Boox Poke 3

Hello,
I've just purchased a Boox Poke 3, and in trying to set KOReader up to sync progress between it and my android phone, I've found that the Progress Sync option is missing from the settings menu on the ereader. It shows up as an installed plugin, and I can set the plugin up on the android phone, but it's not in any menu I can find on the ereader. I've tried using the app from the boox store and the latest github release apk. Is this a compatibility issue, or am I missing something?

Some stuff that works with documents, like this plugin, hook into menus when you have a documented opened (ie: when you're in the reader, not in the file manager). The same happens with stuff that works over the filemanager: you won't see them in the reader.
