Kobo VIP Annual Free Books

My Kobo VIP renewal anniversary is coming up. Is there a way to see the "select list of titles" that are eligible for the annual free book? I'd like to start looking early.

Do you still have the email for the current subscription? It would have the link. I can send you the link from mine, but, it might be region specific or something.

I found the email -- the URL is https://www.kobo.com/ca/en/p/Kobo-Su...VIP-free-eBook which I assume is Canada specific.

Selection is kinda limited, but there's enough cozy mysteries that I'll probably find something I'm interested in.

The really poor selection of free books is one of the downsides of the Kobo VIP program, in my humble opinion. I always renew, though.

Yeah, seems to be an overabundance of romances (not my thing) and cozy mysteries (thankfully, I like those). Everything in the speculative fiction section (always frustrating when they're combined) seems to be those fantasy/romance crossovers, blegh.

Which the selection was a bit better, but I guess they're limited by what the publishers allow.

I had a look and one of the eBooks in the SF section is a vampire romance. In plain English, CRAP!

Don't want to make a new question, but here's a new thread:

How long does it take Kobo to send me the coupon code after a renewal? My membership renewed yesterday and I got the email receipt, but not the email with the code. Should I wait a bit more or go ahead and contact customer support?

When I initially signed up they sent the code right away.

Hmm. This post has prompted me to check, and my VIP subscription renewed on 12 February but I've still not received a code or link for a free book. Perhaps something's broken on their system. I've just contacted customer support.

Have others received the free book code on time this year?

I still haven't gotten my book code. I thought it was waiting for my payment to clear but it went through yesterday and no code still.

I guess I should contact support but phone support isn't an option for me and I hate that live chat.

I had forgotten about until I read this post. I renewed weeks ago! must check the date, maybe they've changed the rues albeit without informing anyone!! Wouldn't be surprised.

i would contact them. When i renewed in November got the email but the code wouldnt work. I contacted them and they sorted out and sent me the list and asked which one i wanted to add to my library. Very helpful

Well, I'm trying to contact them. I got through the bot chat but the live chat is slow.

As mentioned before, phone support isn't an option. I'm hard of hearing (auditory processing disorder).

Update: My previous issues with the live chat being slow to load was a browser issue (possibly one of my tracker-killers). Switched to my secondary browser and it worked.

Customer support got it sorted (the codes were sent at the end of last year, apparently) and added a book for me.
