Is there a way to make notes in and highlight text and then export the notes and highlights like Kindle offers? If so, what model(s) Kobo is required to achieve that goal?
I really like Kobo much more but for some things I have to use the Oasis so I can do this. I have the Aura One and if it can do it I haven't figured out how. I thought it might require one of the models that uses the stylus. Any and all help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to any who can help. |

Stylus use is LESS good.
All Kobos work well with Calibre Kobo Utilities or Annotations. All Kindles are less good to export annotations & highlights. I've used Kobo Touch, Original H2O, Original Libra and Elipsa (Stylus). I've used Kindle DXG, KK3, Paperwhite3, tested PW4, Basic & Pw2. I've also had or did have 4 other makes of eink. Kobo is best, |

Does Kobo have an equivalent of Kindle Mate?

I couldn't get Kindle Mate to work, so I bought a Kobo.
There is no 3rd part access to Kindle database, there is to the Kobo Databse. |

Is there a "Calibre For Dummies" that explains all this stuff?

That would be very useful, but Calibre probably changes too quickly. Maybe KovidGoyal could collate the information from his website into an ebook? This would probably be updated every year. It wouldn't need colour, just some expandable b and w images.
There is an official Calibre youtube channel. But the maker - KovidGoyal - (I think I'm getting him name right) is usually on the Calibre part of MobileRead. |
