Places to buy Ebooks

Hello,

I just got a Sony PRS-505 Digital Reader as a gift, and was wondering if there were other stores to purchase books than Sony's Ebook store, because the selection, while good, doesn't have certain books I wanted to buy. Also, does anyone know of any good sites to download free books, as in books no longer copyrighted? Sony's store has a "Classics" section, with books like Dracula, A Tale of Two Cities, etc, but they still charge two bucks. Seems silly to pay for these titles when they are probably out there somewhere for free.

There are several thousand free books available for download here in the MobileRead forums (fora?). Most are in BBeB/lrf format and can be found starting here --> https://www.mobileread.com/forums/ebooks.php?forumid=126
There are some posted in ePub format, which should be viewable on the 505 if you have the latest software update. Those can be found here --> https://www.mobileread.com/forums/ebooks.php?forumid=138

Those classics are free (100 of them total you can get) on the ebookstore after you register your device FYI

You might want to check your local library. If they have the service, you can download adobe books for free, with a 21 day automatic return.
