Elipsa How to fix pencil erase sometimes not working in notebooks on Elipsa?

Hey guys

Thank you to all that have contributed to the forum.

Sometimes when trying to erase by holding in the erase button on the penn the text has not been erased.

What is the solution to this?

I've given up on the buttons when ordinary note taking. I either tap on undo or use the eraser mode, then tap on pen symbol to write. Holding those brings up menus, where the additional options are only any use in sketching.

My impression of the Advanced Notebook is that it's a work in progress. The Basic note book is pointless.
I do find it a worthwhile purchase, especially for handwriting to text conversion. Secondly using KOreader for scanned PDFs.

Integration is totally lacking. No copy & paste between notebooks, or from/to the epub annotation notes or window. No handwriting conversion in epub or PDF annotations. BT keyboard works in text boxes and all navigation but no text input even in edit converted text mode.

Perhaps the buttons only work consistently in PDF annotation (pen pointless for epubs)? I didn't try it. The buttons rarely work in handwriting.

So far, I have not experienced this with either the Kobo or a third-party stylus.

Last night I was writing in an Advanced Notebook and the Elipsa "froze". Only a restart worked. The open notebook was entirely erased.

I'm considering trying an earlier version. It seemed to work better before it was OTA updated to that. The 4.31 seems worse, reading about it.

I am currently on 4.29 which may be why I have not experienced the problem. Yet.

A proper reboot solved the issue.

Rebooting when the device had frozen did not.

4.32 seems OK, except buttons on stylus are not useful. Outside Advanced notebook the Stylus only good to doodle on PDFs.
Basic Notebook is pointless.
