How many ereaders did you own/use over the years?
Looking back, my history of e-reader usage is quite extensive. I wonder how yours looks like.
2008: Irex Iliad 2011: BeBook Club 2012: Sony PRS-T1 2013: Kobo Aura 2015: Kobo Glo HD 2016: Kobo Aura One 2019: Kobo Forma 2022: Kobo Sage The Sony was the first useful device. Because of the inbuilt light I switched to the Kobo Aura. I loved my Aura One because of the larger 7.8"screen and the Forma, which I rate as the best one I had so far, because of the page buttons. I wish I hadn't bought the Sage. |

2011: Kindle Basic (silver)
2013: Kindle Basic (black) 2014 (end): Kindle Basic with touch 2016: Kindle Voyage and Kindle Oasis 1 2017 (end): Kindle Oasis 2 2019: Kindle Oasis 3, Nook Glowlight 7.8" and Kobo Libra H2O 2021 (end): Kobo Sage and Kobo Libra 2 The buttons are a must-have for me. I've only had one buttonless reader, the Kindle Basic with touch, but I couldn't get used to it. The last two, Sage and Libra 2, are what I'm using now. I still have the Kindle Oasis 3, but all the others have been sold or given away. Last edited by Sirtel; 02-22-2022 at 08:43 AM. |

Many, including a Franklin eBookman 911, RCA REB 1100, the original B&N nook, Foxit eSlick, ECTACO jetBook-lite, iRex iLiad, eBookwise 1150, various Kindles and most models of Kobo:
I made a video about some of them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWvbhE7tbOY |

2009: Kindle 2
2010: Kindle DXG 2011: Kindle Basic 2012: Paperwhite 1st gen 2013: Paperwhite 2014: Paperwhite next gen 1016: Kobo Glo HD 2017: Oasis, 2nd gen 2019: Paperwhite 2022: Paperwhite 6.8" screen Editing to add comments. I was thrilled with my first Kindle in 2009, it basically gave reading back to me. I pretty much hated the little basic Kindle with the skinny page turn buttons. It was awkward and clicky, and by far my least favorite. My first Paperwhite was a bit mottled, but the front light improved my reading experience again. The next generation of the Paperwhite I still have, and sometimes play the active content games on it. It has a bright pixel right in the middle of the screen, but that wasn't there when it was new. The Kobo was ok screen wise, but the least stable of any e-reader I've had. It locked up frequently. The Oasis has been a disappointment, dismal battery life, weird behavior, and I don't like page turn buttons. The 2019 Paperwhite is a great device, and the newest larger screen Paperwhite seems very solid, but I've only had it a short time. Last edited by Deskisamess; 02-22-2022 at 02:30 PM. |

My Libra 2 is my first one. Well, at least my first dedicated reader. I've also read a lot of books on my iPad.

I hated the Aura 6", but a young niece loved it for years and refused my newer, better ones; now she prefers paper books. The Clara was the first perfect 6" I owned, but my old eyes need bigger real estate, and a cousin who can't read paper books anymore loves it. She doesn't want a bigger one though her eyes are much worse than mine and she has few lines per page. Last edited by anacreon; 02-23-2022 at 03:16 AM. |

I'm fuzzy on the years, but:
1. Kindle Keyboard (2011) 2. Kindle Paperwhite (2013) 3. Kobo Aura (2017) - a refurb that was a great introduction to Kobo for me 4. Kobo Clara HD (2019) 5. Kobo Libra H2O (2020) I'm always chasing the next shiny e-reader -- even now I want to switch to the Kobo Libra 2, just holding out in case they release something else this year. Also, I love the buttons on my Libra H2O. I don't think I'll go back to a buttonless e-reader anytime soon. |

An interesting question. I think I'd count my PDAs and Phones (i.e. pre-Ink reading devices) too. I'll have to come back to this when I have time to delve into my archives.
