loss of features converting EPub -> Mobi
Hello. I've noticed that for some e-books (though by no means all), some features get lost when converting from EPub to Mobi - for instance what's italicized in EPub isn't in the Mobi version any more. Does anyone have any idea why this happens and (which would be even better) how to prevent it from happening ?
I can attach an EPub where the problem occurs if that can be helpful, but I'm not sure this is permitted on this forum.
Thanks in advance for any help.
(Note : I use Calibre 4.23, due to Calibre 5 being unable to create proper catalogs on my computer, for some unknown reason.)

Your best solution is to convert to KF8 (AZW3).
