Libra 2 Sleepcover - Gecko Easy-Click (Photos)
Despite Fedex's best attempt to destroy it, my Libra 2 sleepcover arrived from Gecko today. It's the Easy-Click model, which seems similar to their previous Slimfit. This isn't a boofy/bouncy/ruggedised case, it's more in the "sleek protection" sort of area.
Weight is 124 grams - so it's noticeable, but a tradeoff against having some protection against substrate breaks or screen damage in my bag. The outside is a really very nice dark matte petrol colour, rather darker/richer in person than the photos are displaying on my screen. It's also available in black. The branding is reasonably subtle on the front of the cover. Grey inside flap with a slight felt-ish feel. Closure is magnetic, no flappy fasteners. The auto sleep/wake function is working perfectly, and I couldn't get it to accidentally sleep by waggling the fully opened/flipped-back cover around. Charge port and power button are easily accessible. |

Oooh this looks so nice. That colour is gorgeous.
I had a, gecko cover on my old Original h2o which I am convinced saved it from a nasty drop near a hotel pool. I know they are excellent I didn't buy for my forma as I didn't want dull black in a case. I would really like to order this, but have two worries. I have the expensive official sleep cover in blue, which needs to get some use. Experience tells me it won't last that long though... And I worry about import duties to the UK nowadays, making buying this from the NL even more expensive. Sent from my Mi 9T Pro using Tapatalk |

Thanks for your review! I wish I had waited to get my cover until reading it.
I got this one with my Libra 2 for Christmas. I didn't like Kobo's origami one and wasn't a fan of their "classic" case's blue-grey colour. I ended up disliking it due to its thickness and bulk, as well as the fact that the case covers the area around the buttons, which you have to basically push through to press them. I ended up getting this guy more recently, which I enjoy a lot more, and is similar to the one you got. I was worried the origami front would be floppy but it seems pretty rigid. It's also a lot slimmer and more compact than my last one. The whole front of the bezel is exposed and accessible, while the sides (including the side with the charge port, save the port itself) is well protected with a plastic frame. |

Nice cover. I do not care much for the origami type. Gonna look for this one. Thanks for sharing a review.
