Changing SD card on the Kobo Clara HD. Will it improve overall speed (page turns)?

I am considering changing the SD card of the Kobo Clara HD. Is this expected to improve the overall speed of the device, specially page turns?

Probably not. The SD card speed has little to do with the performance when actually reading. The book will largely be loaded into memory the rendering for each page done there. It might help with opening the book, but, won't do much after that.

I would say that this can greatly speed up the download of books from / to the computer. Doesn't affect anything else (I changed the card in several devices).

Using my Clara HD, changing the µSD card did speed up "disk" intensive processes such as booting the Clara HD and sending books and importing them. I could see no difference turning pages even using the kepub fast page turn.

This was last tested using a 128GB µSD card which was tested for small block read/write speeds. A 64GB µSD card I tested had atrocious small block speeds and this showed in any disk intensive operations.

For the sending and import tests, I used a block of 200 books.
