display custom matadata
On the custom matadata page the custom columns are in 2 columns and cut off most of the column names. Is there a way to make everything show in only column.

Sorry I do not know how to show a picture of this.

See Preferences / Tweaks / Number of columns for custom metadata in the edit metadata dialog (ID: metadata_single_use_2_cols_for_custom_fields).
Set it to 'False' to use a single column.

Also see Preferences / Tweaks / Edit metadata custom column label width and elision point (ID: metadata_edit_elide_labels).
Change the lengths to suit your preferences. Or set metadata_edit_elide_labels to False, which forces word wrapping of the labels (names).

The setting Preferences / Behavior / Edit metadata (single) layout also affects what you see. Try the different options to see if one of them suits you better,
