How and what to backup

Before I install an update of the operating system (Ubuntu-Linux), I want to backup the Caliber settings .
This includes the library itself, of course.
Also the directory ~/.config/calibre, where (hopefully) all my settings are stored.

But:
I can't find a database where the keywords (and their links to the books) are stored. However, I don't know what to look for either.
The keywording of the books in my library is very important to me.

So here is my question:
What files and folders do I need to back up so that after I upgrade the BS, I get Caliber back the way I set it up?

Thanks for thinking along and your time.

Kind regards,
Hib

I'm using Portable and it won't let me export, is there a way to get settings transferred to a new install of 64 bit.

Yes.
Once copied, Start Calibre and use Create/Switch: use existing to relink the library (as the path has changed)
