Kindle PW 11th Gen Mac OS Calibre not working
I just got a Kindle PW 11th generation and am running an iMac with OS 10.13.6. I have the latest Calibre update for this version of Mac OS (3.48). I have been through all the troubleshooting in the sticky post, and still when
I plug in the Kindle it is not recognized in Calibre. Does Calibre 3.48 not work with the new PW? |

Could you point me to an instruction source or explain a little about how to save to disk and then copy to PW, as I don't understand how that is done? A viable workaround like that would be great as I could make the new PW work -- otherwise I'm going to have to return it. Thanks again for your help! |

Save to folder is a normal Calibre Icon.
It may work if a Mac always mounts your Kindle the same way. (PC, Linux user here) (It has its own template and Device type in the metadata plugboard) Remember to click EJECT when done |

Success! From Calibre I was able to copy to the desktop, then drag and drop to the Kindle icon on the desktop. But from there it took some figuring to realize that I then needed to open the Kindle icon, and move the book to a specific folder ("item" I think it was called). It's on the PW now and seems perfectly readable so far, only missing the cover art which I don't care about.
Maybe if I play around with this some I'll come up with a more streamlined way to do it, but this isn't bad. Thanks so much to both of you for helping me out! |
