At what sale price would you buy a new Kobo Forma?

Over in the Deals Forum, there is a link to Amazon for a Kobo Forma priced at $209.99

When it hovers around the $100 price point, I might consider buying one.

What's your threshold price?

I would probably fall at about $150ish. I don’t expect it to go that low, however.

50. Which is practically impossible, but I really don't need a Forma. I might be tempted, though, if it cost €/$ 50.

I bought two used Aura Ones over the last couple weeks for $60 each. I'm convinced the KA1 is the best current value in used e-readers and would advise anyone willing to buy used to keep their eyes open.

Both Aura Ones were available for over a week before I bought them, too. It's not like I was lucky to get them. Batteries are good.

I believe I'll be able to snag a used Forma for $100 in a year. They've been going for around $180 used in my area over the last month or two.

I'm in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. They were both posted on Facebook Marketplace and were listed at $60. I didn't bother trying to negotiate further on price as I felt the asking price was already fair.

Each KA1 was listed for sale for over a week before I bought them, which surprised me a little and is why I suggest others who are on a budget but badly want an 8 inch reader like I did to keep their eyes open. It's not like I was lucky to get them.

Well, it would probably have to drop to double digits to be an impulse buy. To be a thought out and bought in a day or three would probably be $159 tops.

0$, but that's because I've already got 2, one with what appeared to be a faulty/dying USB port, the other is a 32gb model bought to replace the other. So I've no need for the Forma. This is of course ignoring my Sage, which I have enjoyed a good deal since it arrived.

I'm not sure. I bought one the other day (for a backup) at $210, so I don't think I want another one. But never say never.

If my current Forma broke, I would probably buy a new one, and not a Sage, if it was about half the price of a new Sage.

That's basically where I am. If there was a fire sale on them I might bite, but I'm not in the market for an eReader that large.

Maybe $100.00. I mainly use Kindles and already have a Likebook Mars, which is around the same size as the Forma.

$200 for a new one. I love my Forma, and a little bit sceptical about the Sage for its added weight, increased power consumption and now also read about worse natural back light. Would be great to have an extra Forma as a backup.

The Sage doesn't have worse natural light in general. The one Josieb1 had was clearly defective. I'm sure there have been defective Formas as well.

OK. Hopfully it is a temporary thing with the green/yellow light in darkness, and that it is fixed in newer models. The nice orange light on Forma will probably come to Sage in time.

That said I am not at all found of the increased weight of the Sage.
