Any way to NOT get recommendations from Kobo based on a specific book?

I read a lot of library books. Once I'm finished and they've been returned or expired, I mark the leftover Kobo preview as finished, then remove the book from the reader. I still get emails from Kobo offering me the next book in the series, but I understand that.

What I find annoying is that occasionally I'll try a book that I hate, don't finish it, return it early, and remove the book. Kobo will still sometimes send email trying to get me to buy and finish that book.

Does anybody know if there is a way to indicate to Kobo that you did not like a specific book and not get recommendations based on it?

Yes I know this is minor annoyance, not a big problem. I'm not going to boycott Kobo over it or anything. Just wondering if there's any way around it.

You could try writing a review. I've found I get fewer of such "anti" recs for books I disliked after having left reviews for them stating my dissatisfaction

You can turn off marketing emails all together on the Kobo website in account settings. Unfortunately you can’t choose what type of marketing to stop.

I'm not going toturn off all marketing emails since I do want to know about sales.

Uncle Robin, did you rate books on the library website or in the Kobo store? Not sure if I want to bother with that, it's probably easier just to keep deleting the occasional unwanted email.

Some reviews I entered on my Libra after reaching the end of the book, others I left on the website. I didn't do it for all the books I read, I only tended to do it for those that I disliked enough to want to vent about - and it seems that Kobo may have got the point.
