Modern Ereader with page turn buttons on lower left like in Sony Readers?

I find that it's most natural to old the ereader in my left hand and turn pages with my thumb on buttons on the lower left. The most immersive reading I used to do was with my old Sony PRS-505. I tried the Kindle Voyage but the button placement didn't work for me. Are there any modern ereaders with button placement in the lower left, or do I need an older ereader like the Sony PRS-T1?

Take a look at Pocketbook's lineup. It's not quite the same location but they are on the bottom unlike the Kindle Oasis or Kobo Libra/Forma.

The phone case ereaders e.g. Inkpalm, or Hisense A5/A7/Touch have volume rockers on the side that can be used to turn pages. To me, they're much more ergonomic than more conventional readers with page turn buttons on the front.

If you can place your reader in a stand, it's even better to use a bluetooth page turner (supported by most Android readers e.g. Boox).

I use my Kobo Libra in my left hand only (my right hand has significantly impaired functionality, even taking the attached photo was the work of several minutes), and I find the bottom button a good fit for my thumb, as in the photo. I realize everyone's hands are different, but it may be an option worth considering?

I use the upper button for next page with my thumb, and it's still the upper button if I flip to the right hand. I normally use the left hand and often rest it on my knees if in bed.

I've small hands. So I guess it depends how you hold it.

If you have small hands, mine must be micro! I can't find any non-contortionist hold that allows me reach the upper button with my thumb. (The repeated experimentation involved in ascertaining this did teach me that the optimal button placement for me would be right BETWEEN the 2 current ones)

No, I don't think there are any modern readers with buttons like the Sonys. The closest you can come is the PocketBook (as salamanderjuice mentions) but the page turn button on the left is for turning backwards, the one on the right is for forward. You might be able to stretch your thumb across the four way button but it would definitely be a different experience than with the Sony. Unfortunately I don't think there is any way to change the function of the keys on PocketBook readers.
