Save multiple cover defaults
Is there a way to save multiple cover generation defaults in the Calibre cover generator? I much prefer the clean look of the covers it generates over the Generate Cover plugin, but I would like to be able to easily switch between one set of fonts and text options without going in and manually editing the template (to add italics/bold) or font selections/sizes. (Specifically, I like to use the same color/design/font settings for fanfic in the same fandom, to make identifying them easier in my Kindle.)
Is there a way to save any of these defaults? Or perhaps a way to "copy" the settings from one book to another? |

No there isnt, though you could do it manually by keeping multiple copies of the relevant config file. And feel free to open a bug report requesting the feature.

Thanks! I thought that might be the answer.
I'm happy to keep multiple versions of the config file around and copy/paste as needed, but I'm not sure where that would be. So far I've been manually changing the font and text but it would be much easier to have a text file I can paste in somewhere. |

If you are familiar with the Action Chains plugin, you can use it to achieve what you want:

I love that this is a built-in feature now, and in case anyone else loves smashing the 'generate cover' button, I've posted my template for generating semi-random color schemes.
