Kobo website
Is anyone else having trouble accessing the Kobo website at the moment. I'm getting a page not working, currently unable to handle this request error message.

There don't seem to be any reports of outages though, but I'm not having any issues with other websites, so don't think it's me....

I can't access to Kobo site with Firefox now (Linux) but I can do it with Chrome. I don't know why. 2 days ago it was the same, but I wasn't able to access with Firefox and Chrome (Linux and Windows) but I was able to access with Edge (Windows).

Very strange.

Very strange.
I can access it in Microsoft Edge but not in Chrome. This is literally the first time ever I have had a website that could open in one browser but not in another.

I also couldn't access the Kobo site for two days, but then yesterday everything seemed as usual, fortunately. An internet outage somewhere along the way, maybe?

I started a thread about this, but I'll revive this one. I can access part of Kobo's website (the E-reader purchase section and the Help section) but I can't access the ebook store front in either Edge, Chrome, or IE. I can, however, access it from the TOR Browser. Very odd...

I am not having any problems here in Australia. Stating where you are would be a good idea as it helps to know if it is a local phenomenon or not.

Does the TOR browser use a VPN for connections? If so, it is probably actually connecting to Kobo from somewhere else in the world other than were you actually are. That suggests that more something local is blocking Kobo. Wether it is on your local network, your ISP or a national firewall, I have no way of knowing.

And for the record, the earlier reports were caused by changes in the DNS and hosting for Kobo. They have moved more of the site to Akamai (not sure if it is now hosted there or just being used for DDoS and other protection) and during that changeover, there were some problems.

Day 3 - I still can't get the Kobo home page to load on any of my devices with the following exceptions: Desktop PC will load it with Tor Browser, and my cell phone will load it with 4G, but not with wifi enabled. The funny part is, I can ping it and run tracert on it and both come back as good. And, every page will load except the Home (Shopping) page.

I can't access kobo.com if I use one of my vpn accounts, but I can when using another. I don't know which countries kobo blocks the use of vpn access in, I'm just giving an example of what happens in Australia. (and I don't know where you are)
