Content Progress bar stop updating?

You guys know how when you're in a book and swipe up in kindle, a progress bar with the title of the chapter you're currently in will show up? But somehow in some of my book, that feature completely freezes and I can no longer know my current progress without exiting the book or opening the ToC. It got stuck on the title of the first chapter and no matter how far I've read, it doesn't update.

This problem, though it doesn't heavily affect my reading experience since all other features works fine, still annoys me. One thing I've noticed is, freezing progress bar only happens to books which originally were epubs and then got converted to azw3. If its epub to any other format (for example, mobi) or if the original file format was azw3, the progress bar works perfectly normal.

I know the problem lies in the book file, so what should I do to fix this? I want to keep using azw3 for the cover so I don't want to change the book format.

I'm using calibre to convert book and a PPW4.

Try using kindlegen to convert and see if that works better for the progress bar.

Unfortunately Kindle Previewer is the only app that is available since KindleGen has been deleted a long time ago and the app is only to preview the book, can't make any changes and the progress bar doesn't even show up for me to check.

Solved it. You need to create another ToC when converting the book to azw3 even if the book already have metadata ToC. By doing that the reading navigation toolbar will work normally. Hope this help anybody with the same problem as I can't find a solution anywhere online and just figured this out by accident a few days ago.
