Kindle 7 9th generation

What am I not understanding?

I have a 10 year old Kindle that I can just plug into my PC - Windows 11 and the Kindle comes up on the PC where I can see the books.

New Kindle 7 - 9 Generation. Plug it in and it will show up as "Fire" and nothing is in the folder. Not even my SD card storage. What am I doing wrong?

Lastly, when the books do come in from the older Kindle - I don't see the titles as the book had but a ....... EBOK. How can I get the title of the book on the PC folder?

I assume you have done step (2.) as described here:

I.e. you need to explicitly enable Transfer Files before it will mount (I think).

Also...a Fire tablet is not a Kindle. Kindles are dedicated e-ink ereaders. Amazon dropped Kindle from the Fire line years ago.
