feature request: Removing the desktop icon from install
This is a feature request. Not sure where to post, so I"m adding it to the development channel.
Can someone please remove the icon drop onto the desktop during the install. I like a clean desktop (no icons whatsoever) and having this happen automatically with no option to turn off the icon drop is really annoying. I already have an icon on the taskbar which is a lot more natural, I don't need another one that is going to be hidden behind the active window all the time anyway. This is useless functionality left over form the days of Windows 98. thanks for reading. |

It's already there, click on the Advanced button after accepting license, after the location option, there are a set of install options, including no desktop icon.
