Books do not download

When I try to open a Book on my iPhone with Calibre Companion it’s Trying to download the Book from my icloud library, but stops and gives error ‘ Cannot download Book’.

The connection seems ok because i am able to scroll the library.

How are you getting the books into iCloud - are you using the Files App or via Apple Books? I didn't know that Calibre Companion would even connect with Apple iCloud. In certainly isn't listed in the default CC settings.
