Bradish, Sarah Powers: Old Norse Stories. V3. 24-December-2024
Stories from 'Poetic Edda' retold for young readers.
The original had illustrations of some of the gods. I've included an illustrated and a non-illustrated version. The illustrations are not of the best quality, as I was working from a relatively shoddy scan. This is a pretty interesting book, if like me you've never read 'Poetic Edda'. UPDATE: 4 JULY 21 NON-ILLUSTRATED VERSION Corrected footnote return links. Added missing links in built-in Table of Contents ILLUSTRATED VERSION Corrected an error in .ncx file. UPDATE V3 - DECEMBER 2024 A complete rebuild, a thorough proofread, better cover, new title page,, images are now better quality and slightly smaller in size. One little note, the Norse Words section, seems to display the pronunciation markers different, dependent on what e-reader you're using. They are definitely coded correctly, so I think this may be a problem with the e-readers, rather than something I've done. This work is assumed to be in the Life+70 public domain OR the copyright holder has given specific permission for distribution. There is a minor structural error in the unillustrated version. The chapter "Frey" contains two footnotes, however the footnotes have a return link which point back to Frey2.xhtml rather than Frey.xhtml.
Simple to correct when you realise it's there. BobC |

Thank you. I've fixed the issue, unfortunately I'm unable to edit my original comment. As soon as I gain the ability to edit my comment I will upload the corrected version. Sorry about that, I'm not sure how I managed to miss that.
