Books from Calibre not appearing on my kindle

I have some books that are in my calibre and show as being in my kindle when it's plugged into my desktop. But when I search for them on my kindle they don't appear. When I delete them and try to reload them sometimes they'll appear for a second, as if they're loading, but then they vanish and I can't find them on my kindle.

I have a kindle paperwhite and the newest version of calibre, if that matters.

Any help would be appreciated.

Look in the DOCS tab instead of BOOKS.

Thanks! I looked in there a few of the books that were otherwise missing were there but not all of them.
