Bonjour,

Ma bibliothèque comprend plus de 25000 livres/documents. Chaque fois que je veux ajouter des livres cela prend beaucoup de temps.

Est-il préférable de diviser sa bibliothèque? Cela me fera t-il gagner du temps?

Que faire pour gagner en vitesse quand je veux ajouter des livres?

Something is interfering with the Library files or app. (Security software?)

Adding Simplified :
you select a book to add (1 file)
Calibre looks at Metadata.db to see id there is an entry (uses a big file)
Calibre adds a Author folder (if not exist), A title folder. (2 folders)
Calibre copies the book to the Title folder (1 file), It creates a Cover.jpg file (if available image) (a file)
It Schedules a metadata backup file to be added (might happen immediately for single book adds) (1 file)

All this should happen in under a minute on a typical Hard Drive.
Flash drives are SLOW
Network drives are seriously not recommended (no crying if you lose stuff later)

Also, check your hard drive health. My Calibre library had drastic slowdowns when my hard drive began to fail.
