Can I safely update to a new version while keeping my library (MacOS)

Hi everyone I was just wondering if I can safely just copy the new dmg file into my apps directory without losing my settings and library etc.? Those are probably saved somewhere else, and not in the application container I assume, but I just wanted to make sure Happy reading and thank you all very much in advance! Cheers! |

Yes. Unless you use a third-party clean uninstaller, even uninstalling won't remove your library or configuration. Last edited by ownedbycats; 05-08-2021 at 08:59 PM. |
