Background tasks on tolino shine 5 (android)

Hey, i am wondering where this plugin went. I know it was there in a version some time last year but in the meantime I can't get it to show up anymore. I reset all of my koreaner with the corresponding data folders and tried both the GitHub release and fdroid release. Is there any way to get it back?

Assuming you meant the dreaded BackgroundRunner, it's still there, we just auto-disable it when it's not used by anything (which it isn't in 99.99% of setups).

Thank you @NiLuJe, but it is not visible in the list of plugins. Maybe I am on the wrong path all together, I wanted to automatically fetch the rss feeds in the background

First: Yep, it's disabled on Android (because it breaks Androidy things).

Second: Err, what RSS feeds? We don't have an RSS reader o_O.

There's the NewsDownloader plugin.

But yes, the BackgroundRunner thing would be the wrong path for that, at least in the sense that it's not something that could currently be done that way.
