Is there a way to show and hide covers in the book details on the fly?
Most of the time, I prefer to hide the covers, so I can fit all the text, but sometimes I want to show the covers. My screen isn't big enough to fit both with a readable font size for the text. I could probably fit both if I could set a smaller size for the covers though. Currently using 5.14.

The only relevant option there seems to be the Cover Browser, but even with animation disabled that one gives me motion sickness.

Also, look in Preferences > Look & Feel > User interface layout. There's wide and narrow layouts; narrow puts the book details on the bottom while wide puts it on the side.

See image.
Instead of Details, consider using I(nfo), it is a floating window |

A "Hide/Show Cover" option in the panel right click menu wouldn't go astray. BR |

I've also been trying narrow view. It allows me to show a small cover image, but either I have to cut the book list very short, or scroll to check the metadata. It's hard to correct the metadata from the cover grid or the info popup. |
