Oh so we have to start a new THREAD to introduce ourselves. I didn't get that initially.

I am an ageing rocker of a "hacker": started coding in the early 70s and TBH my human capital is probably usually 10 years or more out of date. Amateur and VERY clumsy Linux hacker. Have had Kobos since about 2008 and a rooted Kobo for about 12 hours less. Live in London. My handle comes from when I mistyped in DMOZ: it's proved-touch wood-unique and useful: you can take a really good guess at my name...

Voracious reader. Usually non-fiction but I run through LOTR and the Aubrey-Maturin series every so often, and the odd Hardy, Trollope etc (See: ageing...) Current "OMG: how am I going to get through that?" the Penrose book on the Laws of Physics in paperback: it's the size of a small desktop PC.
