Note 3/Air -- Real World Opinion with MS Word/gDocs ???

I did not know e-ink progressed to actually be a writing tablet.
As a writer by trade, this really intrigues me.

I recently bought a touchscreen chromebook to use as my writer, BUT, the ability to use with a BT keyboard and write a book in Word or gDocs has me excited.

However, the cost is very high.
This would ONLY be used for Word/gDocs writing with a keyboard, and occasional handwritten note taking. So, for the price, it really needs to work.

Yes, I've watched a ton of "company" example videos. I do know the Speed or "X" mode is best for writing, and is almost instant with BT keyboard. The slight ghosting while typing would not bother me.

QUESTION: How functional are these in the real world? in actual longer projects?

Like I say, this will be for book/script length projects.
Can the Note 3 and/or Air actually handle this without constant stops, delays, hangups, etc..?

32/64GB is a big concern with no SD slot. IT's big enough to have a few projects on the device. I guess the USB-c port I think they have, can connect to an SD/Flash device. And you have the cloud.

Anyone actually using one of these for this/similar purpose? Reviews?

Thanks

PS--- Bonus points for this add-on question: What about as an eReader, is it too heavy, awkward to hold for bedtime reading? And can I buy books from Kobo site, and read on this?

I'd even consider a Boox Nova 3 as, except for the screen size, most all else seems as powerful. Here I would not be sure of 7.8" being a big enough screen for serious writing.

The 7.8 inch devices have the same number of pixels as the 10.3 devices - you can see exactly the same if you hold the device closer to the eye in the same proportion.
According to the size ratio, it also has less weight.
