Moving library to cloud advice
I want to keep a backup library on my PC and the main one I will access via my phone/tablet on the cloud. I have my books set up with matadata, covers, and reading lists. I want to keep all of this if its moved. If I want to move my current library to the cloud what is the best way to do this? Also what cloud service should I use? I do have unlimited gdrive and amazon cloud drive but ive heard this wont work with g drive. Thanks.

I would suggest maintaining your working library on local storage. Select the books you want in the cloud, do a save to disk with the update metadata om saved copies option and then copy the directory that you directed that output to to the cloud.
Since this is not a working library, gdrive should not munge it. I've attached an image of the save to disk settings I use. You will likely want to make different choices. Last edited by DNSB; 02-17-2021 at 01:19 PM. Reason: added save to disk settings image |

There's product called RaiDrive (https://www.raidrive.com/) that allows you to assign a drive letter to your Google Drive, and then you can treat it 'normally' like any other mapped or local drive. There's a basic free version and a more robust paid version
I don't know if Calibre could reliably use it for a library, but I've never been that adventurous |
