Feature Request: Cover Generation change

I have used the Generate Cover plug-in for years now and would like to request that this plug-in can be called/used from within the "edit metadata" dialog window instead of the generic generate cover that calibre has built in.

Perhaps there could be a preference option where this plug-in is called instead of the built in generator?

I asked if this could be done in the generate cover plug-in thread but was told that this has to be done on the calibre side of things.

I'm afraid plugins dont get integrated into UI in calibre beyond having their own separate buttons to launch.
