"newer version of calibre already installed"

Hello. I need to do a downgrade in order to fix the "syntaxerror" (https://garydadic.medium.com/a-quick...r-a16d8f9280b3) and be able to remove drm from the ebooks.

I uninstalled the newer version, downloaded the 4.23 version but i can´t do it because "newer version of calibre already installed ....."

I use to uninstall a very strong program that removes files and residual folders: Iobit Uninstaller. I manually delete the "C:\Users\dmmve\AppData\Local" folders.
I already entered regedit and delete all calibre entries.

Still can´t install the older version. Can you help me please guys? Thanks.

Not sure what state your system is in after what you have done. The normal way to downgrade a Calibre release is to simply run the Calibre uninstall option, and then install the version you want. That leaves all your libraries and Calibre settings intact. Not sure if that is the case for the way you have tried to do it.

You do not nee to downgrade Calibre. What you actually should do is install Calibre 5.7.2 and DeDRM v7.0.0b4 that works for ePub, KF8, & Mobi. That's what I a running now as my main Calibre.
