Calibre Portable ver 5.x not opening on Window 10

Hello. Recently I can not run any ver 5.x of Calibre Portable. Ver 4.23 works fine but anytime I try to update and then open calibre-portable.exe, ebook-edit-portable.exe, or ebook-viewer-portable.exe of ver upon 5.x, simply nothing happens??? I try both updating on the old folder and install on the new folder, but nothing works. For now, I use ver 4.23 but I wonder what is causing the problem.

P/S: I don't have an administration right on this computer so I can't use the installed version.

Run

calibre-debug.exe -g

in a command prompt (from within the Calibre folder inside the Calibre Portabe folder)

Weirdly nothing happens. Seem like I cannot open any .exe file in ver 5.x folder

I might suggest not installing calibre portable in your Downloads directory. Perhaps trying an install in a Calibre Portable directory in the root of your C: drive as an experiment.

The path to the calibre portable folder is too long. You should be getting an error popup telling you that when you run calibre-portable.exe

Thank you all but I installed ver 4.23 on a similar path so I do not think it's the problem. Anyway, I do try to install it on the root C and still face the same issue. I see some recent posts of people using installed version on Window 10 and cannot get it open so I will try and see if it is the same bug.
