				2020.11 update & status bar

Hi, Just installed OCP-KOReader-v2020.11 update on my Kobo Glo and noticed that I cannot dismiss the status bar like I used to. The bar will go away with a page turn and a couple of other actions but otherwise persists. Is this a new feature? |

That sounds like a bug, but I can't reproduce it. There have been some statusbar tweaks, like https://github.com/koreader/koreader/pull/6872 It could be related. |

I tried it on emulator, both android devices, and Kobo Clara HD but can't reproduce at all. Did you try restarting KOReader/the whole device?

Yes, I've restarted KOReader and I've restarted the device. If it makes a difference, I on FW 4.23.155..... I also notice that if I invoke and dismiss the new skim feature, I can dismiss the status bar. |

There's a "status bar lock" option, double-check that you haven't enabled that . Otherwise, I assume you're talking about our actual status bar (i.e., the bottom one) so we're going to need more details, as "The bar will go away with a page turn and a couple of other actions but otherwise persists." doesn't make any sense without more context. What actions? What do you mean by "go away?". If you could share you settings.reader.lua config file (it's in the .adds/koreader folder), that might also help us diagnose/reproduce this . (Because it's not entirely out of the realm of possibilities that a specific combination of settings could be broken, but that's... a lot of potential combinations, so having the config file should help avoid a lot of running around like headless chickens ). Definitely something in 2020.11. I just reverted to 2020.10.1 and the behavior is fine. What is mean by 'status bar will go away' - I'm reading, I don't usually have the status bar visible because I find it distracting. I want to find the time so I invoke the status bar with its clock. I touch the status bar to dismiss it but IT STAYS visible. I turn a page, the status bar becomes invisible ('goes away'). I reinstall 2020.11 and report back. |

Thanks for sharing the file. Indeed a very tricky bug. I can reproduce on the emulator only if the progress bar is disabled. |

Yes! I can confirm this. On my Kobo Glo, with the progress bar enabled, the status bar behaves as before. With the progress bar disabled, the status bar is harder to dismiss.
