Search for Notes
Now that we can have notes attached to a highlight in a book, I want to be able to search for any notes from the library view.
as an example: I add a highlight in Book 1 with a note 'Four winds' In Book 2 I add a highlight with a note 'East winds' What I would like is to be able to search for 'winds' from the library search bar and Calibre to return a result with the two books that contain the search term 'winds' in their notes. I know that I can search within the notes of each separate book from the Viewer. That's not what I'm looking for. I don't know if what I'm asking for is currently possible, but it will be a nice addition.

You can also add Browse Annotations to your toolbar or context menu.

Can annotations be imported?
For example I use moon reader and the bookmarks and notes can be exported in html or txt How would Calibre receive it? |

No you can export/import annotations from the calibre viewer, but not between calibre and other programs.

What is the "Calibre annotation collection" in Annotation Browser > Export all selected for? I've not found a way to re-import it. It looks like a JSON, which is sort of human-readable but not the most friendly.

its a way to export your data in a machine readable format for further processing. There is no re-import possible there. For re-import you can do it only via the viewer.

Thanks
![]() I looked for it but I couldn't find it. I've spent over two hours trying to figure it out by myself. Now I'm set. Thanks again.
