Calibre 5.x Plugins

Can Calibre 5.x plugins be used in Calibre 4.x ? And If not will you still have the plugins for Calibre 4.x listed for Download/Install. I still like Calibre 4 and I'm just waiting for the dust to settle before going to version 5, and I'm not quite sure what's going to change in the Library and the metadata.db. Can the Version 5 library be loaded into Version 4 and vice versa?.

For now, all 5.x plugins also work with 4.23.

Unless the plugin itself has a minimum version of at least 5.0.0. In the plugin updater I see Douban is listed as doing so, and the next version of Job Spy will be minimum 5.3.
