calibre usage statistics

I was looking at the calibre Usage statistics page and noticed that in the table of most popular versions the newest version listed is 4.10.1.

That newer versions than that are not popular seems very unlikely to me so I am wondering whether or not this page is still being maintained.

I am trying to get an idea of how the uptake of calibre 5 is going.

There was a bug in the code that updated the country and version stats, now fixed. The stats will normalize in a day or two, once enough new sample have been collected.

I find it interesting that Spain is pretty close to the U.S. in the percentage, considering differing populations. I wonder if someone better with math than me could figure out the per-capita usage of the top countries.

Since we're talking about the usage stats...

I notice that the top 20 version add up to less than 75%. Any chance the full list is available somewhere?

I'm mostly interested in number of total installs for each major version, like if there are enough composite v2 installs to still be significant.

I fired up my ancient lappy recently, which I replaced many years ago, just from curiosity. And I opened Calibre on it, also from curiosity, to see which version I last used on it. I'm afraid that might have been counted among those using version 0

EU total is MUCH higher than USA. Much more than relative population. So Spain is part of that Trend.

My memory is that Italian TV seemed much worse to me than Spanish. Worse than US Daytime, though my memory of that is from the 1980s, I can't get regular US channels as the satellites are below the horizon. I'm outside the normal service area for Greece and Turkey and a lot of Eastern Europe, but the service areas are often for a 55cm dish and I've 110cm, so a little more than x4 signal sensitivity.

We read lots in Ireland, but there are maybe too few of us to show up at all as it's by totals, not per head of population.

According to this percentage calculator,, 0.8% of 250,595 is 2004 installs.
